The Chamber of Thrift Banks (CTB) held its recently concluded 3-day virtual convention, with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Benjamin Diokno as keynote speaker. With the theme “Thrift Banking in the New Decade,” the conference tackled not only the challenges of the new normal but also growth opportunities for member-banks in the new decade.

Senate Committee on Banks Chair Senator Grace Poe was the guest speaker in the recently concluded general membership meeting (GMM) of the Chamber of Thrift Banks (CTB) held at Dusit Thani Manila, where she talked about her Committee’s legislative agenda and other key legislation affecting the banking sector.

The Chamber of Thrift Banks (CTB) witnessed the MOA signing of BSP-DTI’s Expanding the Negosyo Center Financing Ecosystem. The MOA institutionalizes the partnership of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Microfinance Council of the Philippines, Inc., (MCPI), and Alliance of Philippine Partners for Enterprise Development (APPEND) toward improving access to finance of microentrepreneurs served by Negosyo Centers across the country.

CTB is represented in the April 17 to 19 World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) Asia Regional Group meeting in Hongkong which focused on the theme “Savings and Retail Banks in the Digital Age – Developing a Winning Strategy.” In photo, together with other WSBI members are CTB Executive Director Suzanne Felix, CTB President Gregorio Anonas III, and CTB Trustee Francisco Dizon.
